Omni connects to the messaging channels and business tools you already use. Some of these connect with a single click. Others use your own account with a provider (for example your own SMS or email sender) so that messages come from you and are billed to you.

Included vs. bring your own

  • Included by the platform: the Meta connection behind WhatsApp, Messenger and Instagram, the social network sign-ins, and a default AI provider. You don't need a developer account with Meta or any social network.
  • Your own account: SMS and campaign email always use your own provider, so that messages come from your sender ID or domain. For AI, you can optionally add your own API key; when you do, it's used instead of the included one.

All credentials you enter are encrypted, and they're masked after you save them. Most integrations have a Test button, so you can check a connection before relying on it.

Before you connect a Meta channel

  • WhatsApp: you need a phone number that can receive a verification code by SMS or voice call. A number already on the WhatsApp Business app can be connected while you keep using the app. See WhatsApp.
  • Instagram: the account must be an Instagram professional account (Business or Creator) linked to a Facebook Page you manage.
  • Messenger: you must be an admin of the Facebook Page.

If the Facebook window shows no Pages or businesses to choose from, your Facebook account may not have access to the app yet. Contact support and we'll enable it for your account.

Start with: connecting WhatsApp.
